My name is Dewald van Vuuren and for the past few years I have been working as a full time leader at a community church called “The West Point Open Door Church”. Please see link down below.
I started off working in youth ministry and I’m now involved in various other areas within the church, overseeing different departments.
Over the past few years I’ve learned that things can get complicated in the life of a leader and in the lives of those we lead. With life placing such high demands on us, forcing us to try and keep up with it’s pace, it’s common that many are left feeling overwhelmed. So let’s be honest, feeling overwhelmed only causes one to loose sight of the simple things around us.
This is why I created this site; these blogs (articles) deal with various situations we face in life on almost a daily basis. I hope this is a reminder to those who read its content to look out for the simplicity we often overlook in our situations.
A motto I strive towards is simply: “Whatever you face, whatever you are going through, learn to simplify the situation.”
If we can get this right, then we will begin to enjoy life through the simplicity thereof.
