6 I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].
Philippians 1:6
Believe me when I say it is easy to feel overwhelmed when having received a lot of information, especially looking back on all the various topics we have covered. The tendency is to wonder how one might be able to achieve and master everything in order to strengthen one of the most crucial journeys we need to have with our Lord and Saviour.
Allow me to put your mind at ease… God is not done with you yet. While it is important that we keep in mind the things that will help simplify a journey so many like to complicate, we have to keep in mind that God brings the necessary change at the appointed time in our lives.
He didn’t get you started only to leave you to fend and grow on your own. Apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists are all placed around us to teach and guide us in the ways of the Lord, but it is still the Lord through His Spirit that brings the growth.
Our part is to simply remain faithful alongside Christ, doing life with and through Him. As we do this, there will be a natural growth that takes place in the background of our lives. Nothing forced will ever grow properly – something I believe many of us need to hold onto for the rest of our lives.
If we could find our rest in the Lord, allowing Him to bring the growth we desire to achieve at His appointed moment, we will find ourselves making all of life very simple.
The Christian journey is truly this simple. We like to complicate things for ourselves and that ends up taking us off course. The Lord called you and me to walk alongside Him to enjoy this journey we have embarked on. As long as we continue complicating things, we will fail to enjoy it and ultimately delay what the Lord wishes to impart into us at the appointed time.
We are all heading towards the same end goal, result and destination in our lives. However, the Lord in His wisdom will take each one of us on a personal journey to get us to that point. The key is simply not to look at the progress in others and then compare yourself with where they find themselves.
My friend, as we end our time together and you reflect on everything the Lord has given us to ponder, know that your life is no mere accident, that you were born for a plan much bigger than yourself. God has placed His divine plan in you and if we would simply keep journeying alongside Him, He will see those plans come to fruition.
You are His divine plan right from the beginning of time and He values You more than you and I could ever truly comprehend. Let Him bring about the change He wants bring at His appointed time. You simply keep journeying alongside Him… until the Lord returns for us all.
May the Lord bless you, and keep you and make His face shine upon your journey alongside of Him. I pray this for your life in Jesus mighty name.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father. How good it is to know that You are the One that will get me to the desired goal. Let me find my peace and confidence in You alone. Thank You for being part of my journey here on earth. I thank You in the name above all names, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
